Dr. Tony Payan has been given a six-month visiting scholar appointment at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University beginning on June 15th through December 15th 2012!

Dr. Tony Payan and Dr. Irasema Coronado (pictured here with guest speaker Dr. Roderic Ai Camp) have put together a project for the 2012 Mexico Elections that includes various events and an extensive, interactive website (click here for access to the site)!

The recruitment meeting for the "Beyond Borders" North American Mobility Program (NAMP) will be held on April 17, 2012 in Benedict Hall 205 at 3pm (click here for flyer).

Dr. Gaspare Genna was awarded a Fulbright, under the German Studies Program, to study national and European identity in Germany during the summer of 2012!

Professor Richard Gutiérrez has won the award for Outstanding Advisor in the College of Liberal Arts. The award ceremony will be held on April 17, 2012 at 4 pm in the Geology Reading Room.
